MikeJD 0 #2 July 2, 2007 Oh, that's just sneaky! How are you supposed to spot speed traps if the deputies are in fancy dress?
Nutz 0 #3 July 2, 2007 You know, things like that are just revenue generators or headline grabbers, whatever, they do nothing to promote safety and further alienate the public. Good job! (Edited for spelling.) "Don't! Get! Eliminated!"
simplyputsi 0 #4 July 2, 2007 yup, reminds me of the road block they had up on my road to my house one afternoon after work. It's a 2.5 mile road that has a dead end. People were just wanting to get home as thats all that is on that road, no business, nothing. I got impatient and took off on a side road that eventually loops back to that road. I figured they would stop me shortly after but didn't. So obviously anyone that was up to no good could just go around it??? All they did was piss everyone that had to sit through it off, and cause a hazard as that road is also a major road for cyclists. Stopped cars in the bike lane are no good.Skymama's #2 stalker -

If it encourages people to stop speeding and running red lights, etc., then it does promote safety. If people are breaking the law and making the roads more dangerous, I see nothing wrong with using creative tactics to catch them.
normiss 801 #8 July 2, 2007 OMG!!! You're one of "those" aren't you??? Willing to give up all your rights including privacy because "I have nothing to hide"???
Shotgun 1 #9 July 2, 2007 How is getting a speeding ticket (for actually speeding!) giving up any of my rights? Because it wasn't fair that the familiar sight of a police car was not there to warn me to stop breaking the law?
Shotgun 1 #10 July 2, 2007 Quote Willing to give up all your rights including privacy because "I have nothing to hide"??? Oh, and BTW, I have plenty to hide..... which is a good reason to avoid drawing attention to myself by breaking traffic laws.
normiss 801 #11 July 2, 2007 not exactly...I just don't like the idea that the highways are designed for faster speed but we're not allowed to travel at those speeds or the cops take advantage of the road system's inability to keep up with the volume. Here in Orlando people get stuck in intersections when the light changes, primarily due to the red light 100 ft beyond the green light with 200 cars trying to get there...and cops camp out at those intersections...I don't really understand that. No, I've never gotten stuck in such an intersection...but damnit man, fix the traffic control system!I don't attract attention either....
popsjumper 2 #12 July 2, 2007 Looks like Orange County deputies like to "dress up". My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239
Compton 0 #13 July 3, 2007 Those fuckers were out on highway 50 today. They seem to be actually causing more congestion due to their "speed control". You can speed, just don't be the guy speeding obviously faster than everyone else.
