Can't get on myspace? I remember reading an article that said the plan was to block access to myspace to deployed soliders/marines/sailors/airmen...bla blah blah. Anyway, I figured their would be some kind of warning. But, no one here has been able to get on myspace for the last 3 days. Anyone anywhere eles having the same problem?

They did issue a warning. It was reported in the press. A lot of blog sites are being more strictly monitored also. This is not a new thing, they're just paying more attention to the OPSEC.

it's supposed to be blocked on ALL military computer networks. Mostly I think due to bandwith issues. Most of the MWR computers aren't run on a true NIPRNET so you should be able to access it there. You could always do what I did. Go in together with some other people and buy your own system. 5 of us split a $3700 system ($800 air freight) for a whopping one meg connection. The speed sucked, but it was worth it just to use Skype to call my wife. We sold it to the incoming unit for a profit when we left. Just get in good with your S-6 guy and he can hook you up. They killed Myspace about 4 months ago here. However, just like anything else, if you know the right people with the right connections you can get still get on it...just not on gov't computers.
