rigger_john 0 #1 August 10, 2006 Anybody know who first offered type 17 risers? Were they first offered by a manufacturer or were they developed "in the field"?_________________________________________ Nullius in Verba
masterrig 1 #2 August 10, 2006 Just off the top of my head, I think, it was the RWS, in the late 80's - early 90's. Chuck
councilman24 37 #3 August 10, 2006 In my 1990-1991 #55 Paragear catalog most manufacterers offer mini rings but on type 8 risers. In the 1991-1992 #56 RWS offers type 17 risers on the order form but it makes no mention of them on the main page. No other H/C seems to offer type 17. My is this history! All of the container adds makes note of the number of reserve risers, 4. A hold over from when they only had two. And they all have a round reserve and a square reserve price.I'm old for my age. KellyF 16 #4 August 10, 2006 I believe RI was the first to release them around '86-'87. The first pair I saw had standard size rings on them.VSE on Facebook
