Tonto 1 #80 June 17, 2007 She loved every min. I have 70 hi res stills, and she's grinning in every one, from kitting up, the plane ride, the exit, the freefall, and the landing. She's spent nearly 9 years on a DZ. (her birthday's tomorrow) Her sister, mom, dad and grandpa have all jumped, and now she has too. Anyway. Thread hijack. My GF skydives, and if I had to choose between this sport and her, she'd win. tIt's the year of the Pig.

kbordson 8 #82 June 18, 2007 QuoteAnyway. Thread hijack. My GF skydives, and if I had to choose between this sport and her, she'd win. t There are some that are worth giving up a sport, changing who you are and even acting out of character. I know/have known some in my life that I would even kill for if need be to protect them... but it's not for them to demand that act. I accept those in my life for who they are... I try not to say you can't do this or no more nookie for you. (but part of that is cuz I find it difficult to say no more nookie....) I'm just saying that if she's trying to be that controlling then that's a BIG red flag. (and the pics with you and your daughter look adorable. no argument or statements bout her age here. I had a friend that took his daughter up a bit early too. I never would have faulted him on it either.)

Nice pix.My wife does not skydive, but if she asked me to stop I would. it's just somthing i do, along with many other things, skydiving is not who i am. I also know that she would not aks without very good (for her ) reasonYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? sartre 0 #85 June 18, 2007 But that's the thing. Your wife doesn't ask you not to do things; not very often. So because she doesn't nag about every little thing, you listen when she asks you not to do something. It's all about mutual respect; you two have it, the OP and his former gf don't. It's hard to have a relationship without it.

If our careers led us to a place where we couldn't skydive, I'd choose to be with her, not stay home close to a DZ. That would be MY call. I have enough dives to know the sky is going nowhere. tIt's the year of the Pig.
