I noticed that i am using my mac mini more than any other computer and I just made a purchase of an I pod. Enjoying the hell out of the I pod and I hardly use the wondows machines I own. hopfuly I'll own a full sized mac but for now the mac mini is doing great.any one else make "the switch"?

Yup - when i emigrated here about 6 months ago. I still use windows machines (work, and my fileserver is one) but i WAY prefer my mac, with a couple of small exceptions.

I recently got work to buy me a macbook. I am learning to use it for most of our print advertising now. (that is how i sold them on it anyway) I like it and use it often. When it is time to buy a new one for the house, the GF and i have decided it will be a mac pro.

Yep. I bought a MacBook pro that I couldn't afford and I love it. I did buy office for it though. I may start using other word processing/spreadsheet programs later but for now I will settle for a non crashing version of Bill products.

The newer Mac OS is unix based, as long as you don't get the XP for mac, and you don't have to go through the headache of compiling your kernal.

yup. up to version 6.2 now.

to the OP, i have 4 computers in the house now, two windows (toshiba laptop and home-built tower) and two macs (a motorola imac and a new intel macbook). the tower is leaving with my daughter when she heads to college, and my laptop is being replaced by a powerbook in the fall. love the mac!
