Pee Question

It does not. You'd better go get that checked out quickly.

You sure? Not everyone can smell it, even if asparagus causes their urine to stink. You might be producing smelly pee and not even know it:ph34r:

I was. Don't like getting involved with others' pee.

Interesting, though, how genetically linked the asparagus response is. French people are most susceptible, Brits ~45%. Being Irish, my susceptibility is probably close to the British.

Does eating asparagus make your pee smell bad?

Emphatically yes. It is temporary though. Apparently some people do not suffer from asparagus stinky pee, because they do not break down the culprit chemical. I have personally noticed this correlation after learning about it, and I wouldn't say it's really terrible, just something you might notice.

I was reading this on a package of bladder meds. Thought you might get a kick out of it.

Warning
This product may discolor your urine to a reddish-orange tint it will discolor your soft contact lenses.

Guess it depends where you store your lenses, or maybe where you pee.

I'd say that if that is the only way you have to clean your contacts, you'd be better off just taking them out!! :D:D

Indeed it does. Eating beets can turn it a pinkish/red hue, that's nice and scary.

And on a side note, for any nursing mothers, do not eat asparagus! The same chemical can make its way to breast milk and the baby may not like it.

And here I was, thinking the term was "beer goggles" and not "pee goggles".... :D:P:)
