PRSKY71 0 #27 June 9, 2007 Thank you. We LOVE her very much. When we got her we ran poll for the name. I just think he name is pretty cool. Character cannot be made except by a steady, long continued process. -- Phillips Brooks

LisaM 0 #29 June 9, 2007 Quote He he I actually have Dose that make me a crazy cat lady?? The seal pt. (aka the darker one) Slider really likes it. He gets excited when I bring out his leash and walks next to me like a little dog. The lilac pt. Katana will go but, she takes a little encouraging and demands to be carried if we are out too longI don't have any pics of them walking but, here is them geared up. I want to walk my kitties but my hubby says I am nuts. Is it safe to take them out in the backyard on a leash if they have not had their outside shots? ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder? I would be worried just in case they got away. My kitties are indoor kitties but, I got them the shots just in case they ever got accidently let out out since I live with 2 room mates.Fly like a girl
simplyputsi 0 #34 June 10, 2007 I had to find these pictures to scan them or I would have posted earlier. Anyway, I came about these two devils as a girl I knew took them in, I can't remember from where, other than the mom had abadoned them. Anyway when I went to her apartment they were starving, had no litter box or water dish. I was like ok you can't keep these. She brought them to work the next day, and well I guess she thought I was kidding when I took them home. She never really put up that big a fight though. I can still remember as I came through the kitchen with a box my dad going there better not be an animal in that!! So they stayed pretty much confined to my room as we had a dog and a larger male cat, these two were female, and thought it not safe to let them out unless supervised. They did get out though eventually. Anyway. I got them their shots and dewormed and also tested for feline aids and lukemia. Put an add in the paper, a real estate office did this for free, and one of them was picked up in a week and the other, my baby, ended up becoming part of the family. She truly was a live saver to me more than once. She used to sleep right ontop of my chest and always had to have a paw touching my mouth it seemed. When I moved out from the parents I took her, but she hated it. So back she went to keep the parents old cat company. And she is still there today, but she is still mine. Her name is Sable. wow I wrote alot. I have more pictures too.Skymama's #2 stalker -

simplyputsi 0 #36 June 10, 2007 even more pics first one is probably Sable getting some face time with the dog. The next two are self explanatory. And the last was her thing for awhile. She would be right there when you took clothes out of the dryer and she would just hang out in there. Like the warmth I guess.Skymama's #2 stalker -

PLFXpert 0 #39 June 11, 2007 We have two precious kittens (I still call them that, but Zoe' is 10 and Sabre is 6 now). Zoe' was BZ's before we met. He scored royal points for having a kitty. Long story how he ended up with her. But she was his, nonetheless.Sabre was abandoned by the mama cat outside where Billy was working one day. Mama cat moved the entire litter in about 20 minutes except for Sabre. Four hours later Sabre was still there, eyes tightly shut and mewing. Billy scooped him up, brought him home, called me up (we had only been dating 8 months at the time), and I came to visit--and never left. (We've lived together 6 years now.) Anywho, I had to feed Sabre mama's milk from a syringe every few hours. The vet thought he was less than two weeks old and had a 50/50 shot at surviving. On one hand I always preach let nature take its course but...on the other if there's a sea turtle heading in the wrong direction following some idiot's big-ass porch light instead of the moon over the ocean I'm turning his cute little but around. So Sabre is my precious angel and quite literally my baby. I had the summer off as I was still in college and had a flexible work schedule. Sabre went everywhere with me. I gave him baths in the kitchen sink w/ "no tears" baby bath and would wrap him in a dish towel and we'd take a nap in the recliner. Then I'd put him in my little Dakine backpack, wear it backwards, and he'd stick his little head out and we'd go for a walk on the beach. He is seriously my baby! He is the king of our house, and I love him SO much. Attached is my favorite picture of me and Sabre as a kitten--its poor quality is due to it being scanned from the original which was one of those mini-sticky-film photos. (I used to have fun with that camera taking naughty pictures of various parts of myself and sticking them in unusual places only BZ would find.) The next is a close up of Sabre's collar. He wears a sterling silver skydiving pin. Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
