flygirl1 0 #1 June 6, 2007 Since I liked the dog thread so much. Here is one for the cat ownersSince I'm a sucker for kitten/cat pics anyone want to share? Also anyone got any good kitty stories? How did you get your cat and what kind of kitty did you get? I got my most recent one from a rescue group at a Petco adoption fair. All his sisters, brothers and mom were adopted out but, he wasn't using the litter box so nobody wanted him All he had to do was look into my eyes and meow and.....2 vet visits, 3 types of litter, 4 medications and 5 litter boxes later he has never missed againFly like a girl
LisaM 0 #2 June 6, 2007 I have always been allergic to any animal with fur. But for some reason I got a bee in my bonnett last year that I had to have a kitty. We went to a shelter and my son found Maya. She's the grey kitty. Then 2 months later I got the same bee in my bonnett that Maya needed a friend. I went to Petsmart rescue and got Lucy. They are so wonderful! They are so different from each other. Maya is easy going and nothing really phases her. Lucy is skittish and hyper but loves to curl up for a nap in my lap. I don't know what I ever did before my kitties. They don't judge, they don't hold grudges, they follow me around like I am the coolest mom in the world. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder? iluvtofly 0 #4 June 6, 2007 Well a couple of years ago I decided that I wanted a cat. I had grown up with dogs because my mom was allergic. But, I wasn't allowed dogs at the house I was renting but I was allowed cats. Turned out someone I worked with had a stray just have a litter on her porch. Once they were old enough I went out to get one. There were 3 kittens in the litter. One was very anti-social. The other two were adorable but couldn't stand to be apart. So I ended up getting the two cuddly ones. The rest is history.

LisaM 0 #8 June 6, 2007 All I did was get a bottle of generic allergy meds from Costco (like clariton) and take it daily. The only kicker is when allergy season hits, the meds can't seem to handle it all. My allergies are non-existant. I sometimes think I must not have allergies at all and I can stop taking them. But when we got Maya I hadn't started the meds yet and I started acting up just on the car ride home. ~ Lisa ~ Do you Rigminder?

SpiritFingers 0 #10 June 6, 2007 OMG they are adorable... Have you walked them yet today..? The thought of them on a leash still crackes me up. Sarah
flygirl1 0 #11 June 6, 2007 He he I actually have Dose that make me a crazy cat lady?? The seal pt. (aka the darker one) Slider really likes it. He gets excited when I bring out his leash and walks next to me like a little dog. The lilac pt. Katana will go but, she takes a little encouraging and demands to be carried if we are out too longI don't have any pics of them walking but, here is them geared up. willard 0 #13 June 6, 2007 Last fall I kept my parents' cat while they were on vacation. Just one question...how can an 8 pound cat eat 1/4 pound of food and 1/2 pound of water a day and still make 10 pounds of cat crap???? I took the cat to the shooting range with me and she instantly was hooked. It wasn't long before she wanted her own rifle. It was tough finding her one, but eventually I did and she is now an excellent marksman (markscat?). Here's a pic of her staking out the neighbors dog. sfullerman 0 #20 June 8, 2007 My wife and I lost our home to a fire about a year and a half ago. Worst part was our little cat bud Garcia (10 years old) died in the house. Four months later, we moved into a new home and these fellas (Zac & Jude) moved in the same day. Brothers from a litter at the local shelter. While sitting in the lobby waiting for the paperwork to go through, each of us was holding one of the little dewds. The one I had looked up at me, leaned over and bumped his nose with mine. I told him "save it bro, you got the gig"(they've grown a bit since then) - z&j3

PRSKY71 0 #25 June 9, 2007 My husband and I got Katana in August 2006. She will be one year old this month. I'm not a cat person but I really love this cat -- even though she picks on my beautiful dog. Here are some pics.
