RkyMtnHigh 0 #11 June 1, 2007 I've been married twice (no mystery to anyone on dz.com) ..first one was for 10 years, 2nd one we dated for 4 yrs and married for 2 yrs....uuuuugh...where to begin...really no benefit for the status of being married as far as taxes and owning a home etc...and frankly it doesn't guarantee he will be faithful forever either...both of my ex's cheated on me which is why I don't believe the piece of paper or ceremony does shit as far as commitment....I doubt I'll ever marry again for that reason...I've always made my own independence and my own money to provide for myself and don't need a man for such...so what's the point now for the piece of paper? _________________________________________ Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Seriously, being married to the right person is great. I hear so many people say "Oh, 25 (or 30 or 35) is way too young to get married. If you want to share your life with someone, why not start sharing it now? A generation or two ago, folks got married young and stayed together for 50-60 years. What's so bad about that?
