floridadiver81 0 #1 June 5, 2007 ...seen a traffic light on an interstate highway. I swear it is the BIGGEST inconvenience for that side of town. In all reality..it only takes me 20 minutes to get to my gf's house...but that one damn light adds at least another 20 minutes of stop and go traffic. and hell..you add in there morning and rush hour traffic..forget it..you're stuck there for at least an hour...and thats on a good day. You Jacksonville people know where im talking about...9A and JTB. They are building on and off ramps to get on and off JTB but its taking forever. I got here October of 05 when they started...and are STILL working on it here in June of 07. Im just ranting here..but it feels better. Anyone else have any issues locally where you live that is just so stupid?! 9A is not an interstate highway; when it is done to NTSB standards and becomes part of I-295 completing the loop it will be, however. If you think the traffic is bad now, you should have been there 5 years ago when 9A stopped at Atlantic; you'd also better hope and pray that the mentidjut that designed the spaghetti intersection of I95 and I295 didn't have a hand in the design of that section of 9A, or you'll find out what being screwed really feels like. For those of you not from FL the interchange I mentioned is the biggest joke in "engineering" I have ever seen -- construction took something like 4 1/2 years and Dog only knows how many millions and doesn't work well at all. The "engineers" were surprised by the kefuffle; ther don't see anything wrong with it -- the left exits are bad enough, but who in their right mind (or left, even) takes two 6-lane highways and connects them with a series of single-lane ramps?
