shropshire 0 #8 June 3, 2007 There's still good music being made today... even tho' the corporate big wigs (x-factor turds etc..) are flooding the airwaves with their contrived shite... Even the Beetles tribute band (Oasis, I think that they're called) have been known to kick out some good tunes. (.)Y(.) Andy_Copland 0 #9 June 3, 2007 Yea but taking the whole rock and roll attitude too far pisses me off about them, I prefere their B side stuff with just Noel doing acoustic. tbrown 26 #18 June 3, 2007 Quote Well, actually it was forty years ago Friday. Sargeant Pepper taught the band to play. What were you doing? I was in the 6th grade and thinking The Beatles had gone to hell on LSD and looked like a bunch of hippie wierdos. Besides, there were The Monkees. But by Xmastime I had got it all sorted out when we got Magical Mystery Tour under the tree. Still not sure how much I like Sgt Pepper's, as important an album as it was, it was by no means their best. The "white album" was better, Abbey Road even better, and "Revolver" is, was, and always will be their very best ('cuz they're really gone totally to hell on LSD making that one).
