freefallfreak 0 #6 June 2, 2007 I've been a loyal customer of Mellow Mushroom since it's inception in Sandy Springs in the late 60's - early 70's. I've never had a bad experience there and as far as I know, anything on the menu is pretty good. TripleF "Upon seeing the shadow of a pigeon, one must resist the urge to look up." eman 0 #10 June 3, 2007 Mellow Mushroom fails to get slice of market, bails out Charlotte Business Journal - June 1, 2007by Ashley M. London From five stores to three stores to none -- Mellow Mushroom has exited the Charlotte market. Sources say the original local franchisees, Tom Lockhart and his wife, Dawn, will now run three pizza restaurants they plan to rename Moon Dog Pizza. Those locations are in the Olde Towne Village Shopping Center on Carmel Road, in Cotswold and in NoDa. Mellow Mushroom franchise eateries on East Boulevard and in Highland Creek have closed in the last two years.

No, you're not the only one... I had a totally different idea of what a "mellow mushroom" was, and it wasn't pizza!! micduran 0 #20 June 4, 2007 I went yesterday. I don't really like their sauce. It is too sweet and has no spice to it. This one was a bit undercooked, as well. I was pretty disappointed. I put the leftovers in the oven this morning. That helped to crisp up the crust but still not a fabulous pie by any means. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
