SpeedRacer 1 #177 May 25, 2007 OK someone just gave me the clue for 22. If you're stumped like I was, roll over for clue: John's girl's home and his home have a certain thing in common. second hint: John could be someone's last name as well, and the clue would still fit. Frenchy68 0 #181 May 25, 2007 Funny stuff: some guy, while trying to solve the "best of times" floor, entered the wrong answer, but it took him all the way to floor 26, where he's been waiting for all to catch up ever since! SpeedRacer 1 #186 May 25, 2007 nice clues, but I'm still stuck on 24. your link led me to the They Might Be Giants documentary (the one called GIGANTIC) , and the phrase "The Two Johns" referring to the two guys in the band named John, of which the author of Skyscraper is a big fan . OK, but I put in all the names of the female cast members, including the one named Syd, and nothing came up that worked. any clues here? where are all the fuckers who got up to floor 27 or something??? Melliandra 0 #187 May 25, 2007 Ok, apparently 16's a lot easier if you're American. Grr. As is 18. Speedracer... look at songs that band's done that have references to a girl. Perhaps one he's getting old with.

I believe most people who got to 27 got there randomly... the length of floor 27's password is way too short, so you can kinda guess it without knowing the question

SpeedRacer 1 #192 May 26, 2007 question 27 ||N O S E| P ? ?| ? ? 1969912 0 #198 May 26, 2007 Technically (I think) they are vertical bars, but the term pipe is often used, even if the bars are don't indicate a pipe command. Kinda like calling cola drinks coke. Interesting about pif. Does it have a non-slang translation? 1969912 0 #200 May 27, 2007 Hi, Dunno FA about genetics. Been looking around to see what those vertical bar symbols can be used for. They are used in programming and mathematics, but it looks like the syntax is so wrong in || N O S E | P ? ? | ? ? P F | that I'm inclined to believe that the pipe symbols do not represent computer commands or logical operators. I kinda wonder if the basic layout might be a form of music notation, with the note letters shifted using a substitution cipher. EDIT: Here are some examples of music notation that look damn similar to the clue: http://www.lesession.co.uk/abc/abc_notation.htm "Once we got to the point where twenty/something's needed a place on the corner that changed the oil in their cars we were doomed . . ." -NickDG
