1969912 0 #201 May 27, 2007 Ationsong just added a new hint on the Floor 27 page. "Once we got to the point where twenty/something's needed a place on the corner that changed the oil in their cars we were doomed . . ." -NickDG
PikzeeVikzen 0 #202 May 28, 2007 We need to think outside the box but first we need to find the box. hmmmmm. I assume he doesn't mean physically because I can't find anything on the page. Anyone know any thing about box codes? I think you read them vertically so it would be | S ? ? | E ? P N | | F O P ? | I'm the twist that turns your key.... 1969912 0 #203 May 28, 2007 Assume you mean Box Cipher and not HTML Box Code? "Once we got to the point where twenty/something's needed a place on the corner that changed the oil in their cars we were doomed . . ." -NickDG
PikzeeVikzen 0 #204 May 28, 2007 yeah, box cypher. hadn't even consider HTML box code. I'm the twist that turns your key....
Frenchy68 0 #205 May 28, 2007 Has a musical approach been discarded? Single and double bars? Box could be a squeeze box? 1969912 0 #206 May 28, 2007 Not sure if I mentioned this before, but Actionsong is into writing pages for the uncyclopedia, which uses (me thinks) wikimedia markup language. Wikimedia makes use of the | pipe character. The only thing on uncyclopedia that I've foud so far that might be a match of any kind for nose is a page on "nose pie" (yea kinda gross!). Pie fits the clue after nose: || N O S E | P I E | ? ? P F | . Will keep looking. 1969912 0 #207 May 28, 2007 QuoteHas a musical approach been discarded? Single and double bars? Box could be a squeeze box? Dunno. I posted the theory on the unforums thread and a couple posts later someone else posted the same thing. Someone said something about there not being enough notes or something. The new clue from ationsong kinda pointed me in a different direction. SpeedRacer 1 #208 May 28, 2007 I think I understand what he's doing here! Here's floor 27: ------------------------------------- Need a hint? You'll need to think outside the box...but first you're going to need to find the box! Floor 27 Bet you never would have guessed that one randomly. Here's one a little more cryptic. || N O S E | P ? ? | ? ? P F | ----------------------------------------------- He is saying think outside the box, but you have to find the box. This reminds me of that "head down" clue from way back. He wants us to literally find another box on our computer screen! I think that those letters are the first initials of a drop-down menu. N = New O = Open S= Save E =Exit As for the pipes, notice when you click on a dropdown menu the choices are divided into groups separated by lines. That's probably what the pipes are for. Maybe I'm not looking properly, but there seems to be a lot of possiblities. or maybe i have the wrong version of web browser. He also seems to be skipping some. SpeedRacer 1 #213 May 29, 2007 everyone should bow down and worship me. and hot chicks should give me a BJ. and someone should run out to the liquor store & get me some more tequila. and some limes. SpeedRacer 1 #214 May 29, 2007 I've been going thru the websites on this page. It would appear that something about jumping out of airplanes improves your brain. Either that or massive beer consumption. But either way, it appears that the SKYDIVERS were the first people to figure it out. or maybe it's the homebrew.... 1969912 0 #215 May 29, 2007 Homebrew is good for the brain. Also, what better combination can you think of than parachutes and skyscrapers? Congrats, but...http://www.rosswalker.co.uk/movie_sounds/sounds_files_20070211_107389/pulp_fiction/suck_dix.wav Now, on to 28. Some weird (foreign?) computer keyboard would be the easy guess. Does the Mac reference apply to 27 or 28? Thoughts anyone? Melliandra 0 #217 May 29, 2007 I've been looking at "Pine" a freeware text-based e-mail client... But no good as yet. I can't see any numerical link between the letters, I'm stumped... Maybe a link between english letters and greek pronunciation of the equivalent letter, if any... I have no idea... Anyone?
wildblue 7 #218 May 29, 2007 Common sequence of commands? In Pine, "C" is "Compose new message" ... don't remember V Or related commands (ctrl-c -> ctrl-v = copy/paste)it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
PikzeeVikzen 0 #219 May 29, 2007 I'm on 32 (and stuck, sort of) What can I post as hints for the other floors without giving to much away? I will say that you are on the wrong track with the pine one. EDIT: I can't say if you are on the wrong track or not for the pine one. I just realized that I got it with help from someone else and not the way it was meant to be gotten. Soooo....maybe you do go about getting the answer with the PC. The answer itself is not computer related though. I'm the twist that turns your key....
SpeedRacer 1 #220 May 29, 2007 need help with 28. I know the "pine " word is important. so are these road directions? Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
Yossarian 0 #221 May 29, 2007 No one seems to know quite how the letters come in to the answer of that level, however I can tell you that trying to find a town in America that has a relevancy to pines would be a good way to go. If that's still too vague I'll give you more of a clue. Anyone at floor 34 yet? Melli (signed in on bf's account)

In theory, Ationsong provided all that's necessary. That is why I quit (officially) at 14 or whatever when I first looked at an external clue. So I'm a dumbass, BFD! SpeedRacer 1 #224 May 29, 2007 even though I already know the answer to floor 28, I'm going to stay there & figure out what those letters mean and what the "pine" clue means. it's fucked up that people got the answer from somewhere else and no one knows where, and now they're all just posting easy clues for it. SpeedRacer 1 #225 May 29, 2007 OK, I figured out what the letters mean. anyway, I'm going to try to do the rest of this without unauthorized clues. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
