Not sure if I mentioned this before, but Actionsong is into writing pages for the uncyclopedia, which uses (me thinks) wikimedia markup language. Wikimedia makes use of the | pipe character.

The only thing on uncyclopedia that I've foud so far that might be a match of any kind for nose is a page on "nose pie" (yea kinda gross!). Pie fits the clue after nose: || N O S E | P I E | ? ? P F | . Will keep looking.

Dunno. I posted the theory on the unforums thread and a couple posts later someone else posted the same thing. Someone said something about there not being enough notes or something. The new clue from ationsong kinda pointed me in a different direction.

He is saying think outside the box, but you have to find the box. This reminds me of that "head down" clue from way back. He wants us to literally find another box on our computer screen!


I think that those letters are the first initials of a drop-down menu. N = New O = Open S= Save E =Exit

As for the pipes, notice when you click on a dropdown menu the choices are divided into groups separated by lines. That's probably what the pipes are for.


Maybe I'm not looking properly, but there seems to be a lot of possiblities. or maybe i have the wrong version of web browser. He also seems to be skipping some.

I've been looking at "Pine" a freeware text-based e-mail client... But no good as yet.

I can't see any numerical link between the letters, I'm stumped... Maybe a link between english letters and greek pronunciation of the equivalent letter, if any... I have no idea... Anyone?

Common sequence of commands? In Pine, "C" is "Compose new message" ... don't remember V

I will say that you are on the wrong track with the pine one.

EDIT: I can't say if you are on the wrong track or not for the pine one. I just realized that I got it with help from someone else and not the way it was meant to be gotten. Soooo....maybe you do go about getting the answer with the PC. The answer itself is not computer related though.

No one seems to know quite how the letters come in to the answer of that level, however I can tell you that trying to find a town in America that has a relevancy to pines would be a good way to go. If that's still too vague I'll give you more of a clue.

We're getting easy clues from these people that have nothing to do with the clues in the puzzle.

Good point. It feels like cheating to use clues from others. In theory, Ationsong provided all that's necessary.

That is why I quit (officially) at 14 or whatever when I first looked at an external clue. So I'm a dumbass, BFD!
