2fat2fly 0 #4 May 30, 2007 She sets the alarm for 5 and gets up at 5:45-when I'm home, I don't need to get up until 7, but I'm always up by 6 or 6:15. I'm of the mind that if you need to wake at a certain time, set the alarm for that time and get up A man my age needs his uninterrupted sleep I am not the man. Have you looked at your avatar lately? Shouldn't you be grateful that there is a woman on earth that would agree to share your bed? I'm just sayin'... skymama 37 #13 May 30, 2007 QuoteI'm of the mind that if you need to wake at a certain time, set the alarm for that time and get up I agree! If someone needs to use the snooze alarm, then maybe they should go to bed earlier. I think your wife is being selfish by doing that. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
NWFlyer 2 #14 May 30, 2007 None, anymore. I used to be just like your wife - alarm set for at least 45 minutes before I had to get up. I finally decided to break that habit when I started my new job ... and to do it, I had to start setting an alarm all the way across my room. And then actually get up and turn it off and STAY up. It was hard for the first couple of weeks, but now I'm up on time every day, many days even before my alarm. Alarm goes off at 6:45, bus at 7:45, and sometimes my mornings go fast enough that I'm out the door for the bus 20 minutes before that. In the snooze days, if I wanted to get out the door by 7:45, I'd have to set an alarm for 6 ... and many days I'd probably still miss the bus. And I actually feel MORE alert in the morning. I've read somewhere that repeated snoozing will actually make you more tired because you're giving up X minutes of good sleep for X minutes of bad sleep. Even today when I could sleep in a little b/c I have to take my parents to the airport ... I was up at the normal time. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
