pop 0 #8 May 21, 2007 QuoteI've had about 300 transactions with them without problem. What happen to you? Their checks and balances system has imposed on my business to the point I am losing significant money every fucking day! Edited to say: I've done thousands of transactions, and 90% they smoothly, but the times it doesnt, it hits my pockets so hard! And the fuct up part is that most of the time its neither the buyers or the sellers issues. Let me tell you a story about how paypal help on to $10K once claiming it didnt have my money. Once we got the right authoritues involved they somehow were able to find it. I've been using PayPal accounts for years. I use their credit card merchant accounts, and have several web sites that do shopping cart transactions through PayPal and I have no complaints. Cashmanimal 0 #13 May 21, 2007 I refuse to accept simple complaints as a valid reason to stop using paypal. I have thousands of transactions with papal, and have never had a single issue with any of them. They even helped out with a few insurance problems on items, as well as helping out with seemingly missing orders. The only complaints I have with paypal is the time it takes to transfer the money from my paypal account, to my bank account. But even then, it is a completely reasonable amount of time. So, until I read some legit reasons as to why paypal is screwing up and not you, I will continue to do massive amounts of business through it.It's all fun and until someone loses an eye... then it's just a game to find the eye

When the buyer reversed the chargebacks AMEx sent the money pack to paypal, and paypal was supposed to return it back to me. Well paypal continuted to claim they didnt have my money. Once I got all the parties involved including a lawyer we found out that paypal DID after all have my money, but also was excersizing its made up right to hold on to money for 75 days. They do this so they can invest the money that doesnt belong to them, In this case the chargebacks were unwarrnted,a nd were supposed to go back into my account immediatly after being reversed. I had to get a lawyer to make that happen. That was my money. This is one of the million issues I have with paypal.7 ounce wonders, music and dogs that are not into beer
kelel01 1 #16 May 21, 2007 Same thing for me, basically, only as the customer. And the seller was another DZ.commer, so 2 of us got screwed in this transaction. NOW, Paypal is saying they refunded my money to me (when that's NOT what I wanted, nor what I thought we had established when I called them), but my credit card is still showing the charge, and the seller is showing an empty Paypal account. Basically the entire available balance of my credit card is tied up for God only knows how long, and I have nothing to show for it. I've been pissed at this for 2 weeks running now. floridadiver81 0 #17 May 21, 2007 This was a few years back..but i had to del with paypal's customer service. While i was out to sea someone hacked my ebay and paypal(they were good because they were two totally different passwords!) and use it to buy parts for a Honda S2000. Imagine my suprise when i get back from being out to sea and try to get cash out of an ATM..how my aailable balance is -2300 dollars. major WTF factor. Finally trace it down to the fraud charges. I was communicationg with paypal and my bank at the same time. There were three separate charges. I forget the exact amounts..but i know one of them was for 900 dollars. Well..there were three total charges. paypal refunded all three charges to my bank account. Ok..everythign is cool. Paypal then took once charge back. I called and complained again and they said they would investigate it. 2 days later i notice in my online account that they post 2 charges back to my bank account...now beign over 900 dollars. I let it go for 2 weeks..waiting if the extra charge would be taken back to paypal. It wasnt. I called them and they looked at my account and told me that there was a zero balance....when on my screen i was 900 dollars. I was like ok...whatever. I downloaded the 900 dollars to my bank account and closed the paypal account. So i actually made out on everythign that happened. The only bad thing that amounted from this was the fact that i was late on my rent by 9 days becasue i could access any of my money till it was straightened out. It was well worth 900 free dollars though. And i have yet..to this day..heard anything from them about it..and lie i said..this was back in like 2002-2003 timeframe."Age has absolutely nothing to do with knowledge, learning, respect, attitude, or personality." -yardhippie "Fight the air, and the air will kick your ass!!! normiss 851 #21 May 21, 2007 reason #1: They are owned by Ebay reason #2: they have reversed charges for items purchased due to "complaints" from customers that bought something...such as an item I sold LOCAL PICK UP ONLY - the dude complained I wouldn't ship the item, another one said the item was broken although he refused to place an insurance claim or return the item...so they've gotten me for about $800 and I'm still out the item. reason #3: they cahrge more than the mafia would for short term loans or money exchange/brokerage - what ever you want to call it.
