VanillaSkyGirl 6 #1 May 21, 2007 This story is great! Samantha Larson is the youngest American to reach the summit on Mt. Everest. Her father and her are the first father- daughter team to have finished the seven summits, which are the highest peaks on each of the seven continents. Read more here. I wanted to follow on that path and take a shot at Everest but Denali in Alaska cured me of that dream. That freakin mountain tried to kill me a couple times and I realized that to continue challenging the 20,000ft peaks could very well kill me. Its a very harsh world up there. Kudos to those who do go on to summit all of them. The sky is the limit for such a young woman. What's next? Maybe a little gravity experience after exiting from an airplane? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
 kelpdiver 2 #5 May 21, 2007 Sorta great story. To me, the 7 summits passion is a lot more about $$ than anything else, esp for the peak in Antarctica which like Everest can cost 65k for the guided setup. I prefer your headline which just talks about Everest, because even if you buy the trip, only you can earn the summit.
