Burrc 0 #1 October 4, 2009 Does anyone know of a good flat packing video on-line? I am learning how to flat pack and am almost ready to be checked off. It would be nice to have something at home to watch before I go to the drop zone to refresh me before I put hands on.

phoenixlpr 0 #12 October 9, 2009 Notice that packing is a religion. Of course my way is better anyway I would not pack that way. I did <100 flat packs on student/sport rig and some on a Strong tandem with T520. Flat pack/roll pack is the only way for T520.

Our DZ requires the packers to flat pack. It's what they teach in packing courses too. It's much easier for us beginners to learn. Unlike some PROs out there. It does not really matter for a beginner. They need 4-10 pack jobs before they learn what to do and stop only for the inspections, check points. captain1976 0 #17 October 12, 2009 If you send me a private Email I have one I will send to you or I could upload it to a web address since its a big file. I took it in 1983 but nothing has changed. Even though I was one of 3 people who did initial pro pack testing in 1977 and it took a few years to catch on, I do flat pack if there is room enough to do so. I hate to hog the space if the packing area is full as I have a bad shoulder and the extra arm movement required during the pro pack hurts me.You live more in the few minutes of skydiving than many people live in their lifetime
