PikzeeVikzen 0 #5 May 10, 2007 Quotegodda love photoshop. I think you are probably right. That plane is level so I'd say it's cruising. What do they cruise at...35k feet maybe? Even if the plane was at the right altitude for that to work would skydivers be anywhere near that area? I'm the twist that turns your key....

I'm thinking the same thing...at cruising alti for a commercial jet which we don't jump at..furthermore, where is the camera man? obviously not the head down jumper who's leg was caught in the pic..or he'd be bent in half....NOT! _________________________________________

Crosskeys is on approach to Philadelphia, Diverdriver knows this very well. It's been discussed many times before, on this forum. I've only read the comments briefly. I've never seen the footage. A couple weeks back I watched from the ground at Sebastian as a G4 went through jump run at close to 300 kts with jumpers away at 7k. Cynthia's father Chris has video of that jump. The jet passed above, yet under and between the solo student who followed him. The lens he was shooting didn't capture the identifying numbers of that plane as clearly as shown is this picture. The foot in the above picture is Pancake's. Ask him if it is real or photoshop.

Oh yeah, that makes total sense. I was on my way to Cross Keys for one of their 100 way events in the late '90s, flying from Atlanta to Philadelphia. I knew we were over NJ just a few minutes before landing, and I just happened to look out the window on the right side and bingo! I recognized the Cross Keys DZ right there! The jet couldn't have passed by more than a few miles from the DZ, maybe a mile and a half."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

I doubt you could tell the diff between a snapshot of a jet cruising and one not, even on final they're pretty level and it's the airspeed/trim more than anything that determines angle, and that can be the opposite of what you expect. There's not even a pronounced horizon in the shot, and what there is suggests the camera isn't level as you'd expect. It could be real IMHO.

jman 0 #14 May 10, 2007 Not disputing whether the photo is real or not, but I've seen some pretty level jets going by the Ranch to approach Stewart. That's a small airport so I'm sure in more congested areas it would not be unusual to see close commercial air traffic at level flight.
