skymama 37 #1 May 5, 2007 0:4:0 I'm so thrilled with my jumps today, I had to start the list! I did: 2-6 way hybrids. I was a hanger and we turned 6 points! 1-10 way RW. I never do RW, so this was a big deal for me. I was there for half the jump until someone funneled the formation and I flew off the end like if I was on the end of a whip. 1-6 way Freefly. I had a great time but the jump could not end fast enough. My arms were killing me from hanging on those hybrids and that sit fly HURT! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

NWFlyer 2 #8 May 6, 2007 :4:1 Four fun RW jumps - a four-way, two five-ways, and a six-way. owed (and paid) for my first (but definitely not my last) jumps at Kapowsin Air Sports. Their new location in Shelton kicks some serious ass. Felt very welcomed and had a great time sticking around for the Cinco de Mayo party after hours, including some delicious grub. Wasn't sure the weather was going to cooperate, but Mother Nature delivered a dropzone-sized hole for the entire day (though it was entirely too cold for May!)."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. I don't know if where you landed was in an unsafe area (e.g., you crossed the beer line or something) but either way the dog shouldn't be around to tear up your gear. I have no problem with dogs at the DZ (and it's not my decision anyway, it's the DZO's decision), but if they're in the packing area and get anywhere near my gear, I'm usually looking for the owner to have the dog hang out somewhere else. Same goes for toddlers. As far as I'm concerned the first thing a DZ kid needs to learn is how to step over lines. "There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. Vallerina 2 #15 May 6, 2007 0:2:0 My friends made their first jumps this weekend!!!! Thanks to everyone at Chicagoland Skydiving for making their first experience in the sport a really really fantastic time! One of the girls has been one of my best friends for the past 17 years or so, and the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in freefall was her doing a tandem in my JFTC suit And we had our first team meeting today! (Too windy to jump...booo) Definitely one of the best weekends I've ever had! I want to do it again! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
Nickkk 0 #16 May 6, 2007 0:13:1 5 jumps on Friday with the PD Factory Team Skills camp, 8 @ The Ranch yesterday. Crazy winds killed my Sunday. Beer owed for taking my first *2* docks on a jump while sit flying! Woooooo! What do you do when someone throws a big planet at you? Throw your pilot chute in defense! wildfan75 1 #18 May 6, 2007 Quotenone- winds too high I hear that about the winds. 2:2:1 Managed to get 2 hnp's in on Saturday before the winds picked up. They were a ton of fun seeing that the winds were about 40-45mph at 3000'. Talk about not hurrying to get back! I came up 2 jumps short of reaching my goal of doing 200 in my first year. Beer owed for celebrating my 1st skyversary on Saturday.

karenmeal 0 #21 May 6, 2007 3 jumps on Saturday. I should have been doing homework but I couldn't resist the blue skies and the lure of a couple tandem videos. Now if I could just start getting paid for the videos.. I know how to edit, the videos are turning out pretty good (If I do say so myself), I just need to sit down, edit a really pretty one, present it to the DZO and say, "Use me and not handycams!"
