look at it this way, I don't make a whole bunch of money. I make about a thousand jumps a year. I have several " friends" who live in town who are making basically nothing and killing themselves 40 hours a week. I don't care what the situation was, with whom involved, or what was said. Unless someone is defending their life, there is no excuse for stabbing someone. The police found enough available evidence to arrest him and not the other guy. So, unless he can prove self-defense in a court of law, he will never be welcome at my DZ again.

to those of you who know me I just wanted to say that yes, I got stabbed last night and yes, I'll be OK. There was a minor altercation with an obviously unstable individual that turned into bloodshed (mine).

I confronted a gentleman about his not so gentlemanly conduct around the local ladies, and he took it upon himself to put his knife in my ribs.

Thanks for everyones concern and the many, many phone calls I've received. Thanks as well to those of you who sat at the hospital even though you couldn't get in.

You guys rock.

In case anyone else is curious, i looked up Florida's penalties. Aggravated Battery with a deadly weapon is considered a 2nd degree felony punishable under State Stature 775.082 (3)(c). If convicted, it carries up to (a maximum) of 15 years jail time and up to (a maximum) $10k fine.
