masterblaster72 0 #51 May 7, 2007 Quote Quote The stabbing is a rather isolated incident. I noticed that the vibe is generally good at the dropzones I go to. Is the vibe particularly bad at the dropzones you hang out at? Where do you jump? Can I come visit? In the name of spreading the love and not the hate, I'm not going to gossip. I just wish people would think about how their actions affect others a little more. The dropzone should be a place to skydive.. ya know what I mean? Mostly Cross Keys, and I was just at The Ranch yesterday, where I noticed the vibe is especially friendly and welcoming to new people -- so I'll be going there more often this season. You should make the visit to either or both, it's worth it! Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. micduran 0 #64 May 7, 2007 On a more serious note - - I wish I could figure out the world. Being older than the majority of the people I hang around with sometimes puts me at a disadvantage. I've had more years to see the drama, games and bullshit. I don't have a very high tolerance for any of it. I try to not give too strong of an opinion and usually sit back and watch the shit unfold. Be who you are, stick to your morals and always do what is best for you. Pick your friends from the people who have a moral code that you can accept. People with whom you can be yourself and share life experiences and learn from. We are all different. Just because we all skydive, we all can't be friends.Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.

BelskyBlueEyes 0 #66 May 7, 2007 It is not a disadvantage to be older. You have learned to see the red flags earlier and can avoid the drama. I'm all about avoiding drama!!

CSpenceFLY 1 #73 May 7, 2007 QuoteJay.. seriously do you think I'm trying to turn everyone in to me? I am completely aware that not everyone sets their own standards to the level that I set for myself, which even I don't always live up to. But it is exactly this type of statement that makes me feel judged for not being less of a person. And I disagree.. some people's morals (or lack thereof) are just wrong! I never said that mine are a shining example.. but when someone does something that affects me and I stand up for myself, I expect support from my friends. If its something I care about enough to react to, then it matters to me. Man there is a statment with some irony after all the support I got.
BelskyBlueEyes 0 #74 May 7, 2007 Well I was thinking more that from experience, you see the drama coming so you have the advantage of not getting caught up in it. You can still be around those people and be social, but know exactly when it's time to run before the drama blows! Be true to yourself, that is what matters.
