Bird on a wire

Well, this little fellow been sitting on the wire outside my window for a good hour now. Seems quite content just sitting there watching the mad kids playing outside. Had to get a snap, less than 4 foot away from my window

I put a bird feeder on a tree in my backyard a few months ago and the birds have finally found it. I love sitting and watching them and even made the kids come look when a cardinal showed up the other day. We also have a hawk that hangs out on the fence now, it makes my cat very nervous.

We used to be overrun with squirrels which were great fun to watch. You couldn't walk down our road without having nuts thrown at you from naughty squirrels running through the trees..... until the developers moved in

I had this bird land on my deck a month ago and decide to nest in my chair. She took the sheet covering it and used it for bedding. The egs should be hatching with in the next week.

there are two of these HUGE Pileated WoodPeckers

who hang around in the woods behind my house.....

they are one of the reasons,, I'm gonna get a GOOD zoom lens for my Nikon d70s slr...and soooon...

I see them Together from time to time..
