brierebecca 0 #2 April 20, 2007 Hell yea! I love NPR. I'm kind of a news junkie though. Brie"Ive seen you hump air, hump the floor of the plane, and hump legs. You now have a new nickname: "Black Humper of Death"--yardhippie
karenmeal 0 #3 April 20, 2007 I like the NPR music that they play. Lots of Bela Fleck and Nickel Creek.. (among many others) "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

coconutmonkey 0 #6 April 25, 2007 Oddly enought, NPR is great for long trips. Enough variety to keep ya awake (where that blasted 8 track keeps skippin the same song for hours). piratemike 0 #7 April 25, 2007 Okay, so I love NPR, and my radio is over there most of the time. But that junk that they play on the weekends after prarie home companion is AWFUL!! Mabey that's just a personal opinion, but I just don't want to hear a cross between aboritional and house music...
JohnMitchell 16 #8 April 25, 2007 I'm with you. Not a big listener, but I like the news that's more than a soundbite, and the variety of music is great. I love the blues programs and the eclectic jazz played sometimes. You can't listen to punk rock and indie all the time. Sometimes you have to go ultimate old school. Squeak 17 #9 April 25, 2007 WTF IS NPR You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
JohnMitchell 16 #10 April 25, 2007 National Public Radio. Govt. sponsored radio known for in depth interviews, serious news pieces instead of pop fluff, and an eclectic mix of music, such as folk, bluegrass, classic jazz, old blues, etc. Also the DJs are very reserved and low key, like librarians, so much so that I've seen comedy routines done on them. You won't hear any Top 40 or Brad and Angelina stories.

freeflybella 0 #12 April 25, 2007 NPR broadcasts BBC World News. My favorite thing these days about NPR is This American Life with Ira Glass. It's on one day per week - and you can download a free podcast of the current weeks' show - or purchase past episodes for $1.00 from their website. It's an amazing show. Action expresses priority. - Mahatma Ghandi
