Just a note... it's doesn't have to be "NEW" music. Just new to me. Ya know that feeling you get when you walk into a Record Store? Before you enter the store, you know just what you're looking for. Once you get inside, you lose all ideas and just wander aimlessly between the isle with no clue what you went in there for.

RX Bandits -

my boyfriend and i were flipping through the channels really late one night and stopped because we came across some local cable network that was actually playing music videos - and we decided to see what was on - all of the sudden this video - "And the Battle Begun..." came on by the RX Bandits - AWESOME song - bf bought the rest of the album on iTunes - I LOVE it :) he thinks some songs are a little to "ska" for him - i think the whole thing is just refreshing - definitely worth checking out :)

edited to add - you can always check out KILL THE ALARM and BRICKFOOT

KTA - just released their new album about a month ago - you can get that on iTunes

BRICKFOOT- (the beau's band) - is finishing recording in LA the second week in may - good stuff to come for sure :)

Amos Lee is really good... download the song "shout out loud" or "arms of a woman" download Dave Matthew's cover of the Johnny Cash song, "Long Black Veil" or their songs "Song that Jane Likes", "Grace is Gone" or "One Sweet World" (Okay... so I like DMB!) Ray LaMontage is another really good one.... geesh... I could go for days

Check out my homies from good ol St. Louie Missouri. Take a listen to Rockstar on their Myspace site. Their national release " Addiction" is set for this summer. Listen for a song that Josh wrote for a buddy of his who is in Iraq called "Tour of Duty". It's to be released for national airplay soon. Country singer Keith Urban has hit him up to do a country version of the song but, Josh is not certian he wants to do that as the song is personal. When you finally hear "Tour of Duty" you're going to love it!

You can create your own radio station by adding a few of your favorite bands/songs. It plays similar stuff, and you can 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' stuff you don't like to tailor it a little more. Here's one I threw a couple bands I liked at the time into to get more stuff like it.

I don't have any brilliant suggestions for you... Modest Mouse's new one is pretty decent (they've done better) and I still can't seem to get away from Silversun Pickups. Guess it just depends on what mood I'm in. Hell, I've been listen to Jack Johnson a lot lately... just seems like good lazy summer-is-here music.

If you want to check some new artists out on the cheap, try http://www.lala.com/ -- trade used CDs for $1. Get a whole CD for $1 instead of one song off iTunes.

Slappie, here's the link to buy their CD's. All three available cd's are great but, I highly recommend "Change Your World". The title track is excelent. I think that you will really like it. This cd also has "Rockstar" on it.
