yardhippie 0 #1 April 23, 2007 Ok so I rarely do this, but Im gonna do it anyways. Slappie, do not read any further. After a really crappy Saturday morning, I was going to head home from the DZ without even making a jump. I'd gone down Friday wanting to have a great day. I had a few friends ask me not to leave, and another just put their arm around me and said "lets go have a chat" So we sat down, I cooled my jets a bit, we just talked, but not so much about why I was pissed. Then another two friends made sure I was watching when they performed the SDA secret hand shake, that got my first smile in hours. Then, another friend I've not seen in months showed up and got to make a jump with her. I've always liked jumping with her b/c she's so animated in the air, smiling and having a good time, its almost infectious. By the time I'd landed I was a new person. I manged to knock out 4 more jumps in the rest of the day (first one was round 4PM). Then I got a call from another friend that I'd bitched at early and he did something really unexpected, and it made things even better, made me realize that just maybe he is listening. Just wanted to say thanks to all of you. I'd gone down to the DZ this weekend to chill and hang with friends and come home in a better mood. I couldnt have done it without you! Oh, and for those that thought I'd get in trouble for what went on later that night: nope. Although the marks are still not gone yet! This concludes the testing of Hippie can be nice somtimes. I spent many years there until I moved to Texas. They helped me through a lot of rough spots both skydiving and personally. I miss them (and their crazy antics) immensely. And with the situation with local dz's going back to Cessna's, I'm missing the King Air more and more every day. Nina Are we called "DAWGs" because we stick our noses up people's butts?
