Thanatos340 1 #26 April 6, 2007 Dont ever let a 5 Year old (Or a skydiver for that matter) near Bubble wrap. Pop,Pop,Pop,Pop,Pop,Pop, for endless hours has been known to cause extreme mental breakdowns.. And the temptation is just too much for such undeveloped minds (And kids too). PWScottIV 0 #31 April 7, 2007 QuoteFriends want a second honeymoon...I told them I would babysit. My place is not child proof. I love kids...but not here. Do 5 year olds like the zoo? Any suggestions? How do I entertain him? No blenders please BeerGravity Waits for No One.
plowdirt 0 #32 April 7, 2007 Give him a crayon and let him go nuts. something about children and crayons. They think their Picasso or something, ohh heres a good one let him get a hold of a lipstick, yea now we're talking. I would think that 5 year olds would like anything thats gonna last no more then 5 minutes. Then again theres dvd's lion king, nemo, cars, The disney channel, doodle bops, etc etc. Good luck, get a script of prozac before the arrival thatw ay it's already in your system. JohnMitchell 16 #33 April 7, 2007 It really depends on the 5 year old. Depending on their maturity, disposition, and interests, they may want to go to the zoo, play in the park, color with crayons, play in the dirt, go shopping, go hiking, watch a video, bike ride, roller skate, ice skate, climb a tree, watch a bee, pet a dog, catch a frog, eat ice cream, make you scream, see a movie, sing a song, take a nap, make a sandwich, bake some cookies, help you do laundry, read a book. We raised 4 kids. They're all different, but have more varied interests than you would expect. Treat it as an adventure and a chance to view the world through the eyes of a child again, not as an odious chore. You might surprise yourself with how much fun it is. Grandma found out I have a snake, a pool, never had kids and she doesn't feel comfortable. She cancelled her plans to watch him. Ok, I'm over it. Time to party.Be yourself!
