matt1215 0 #1 April 20, 2007 Don't you hate when you forget where you parked? When I was going to school, I always parked on the roof of the parking structure, just so I'd always be able to find my car .

skydemon2 0 #4 April 20, 2007 I knew a guy who called the MP's because his car was stolen, turns out he drove to get something to eat and walked backed with some friends he meet while eating. Totally forgot he drove there.... the MP's were not amused! Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes clean to the bone! I like to start my day off with a little Ray of Soulshine™!! Good idea. Kinda sucks that the batteries in my key-fob are getting pretty weak and thus have a lot less range. On the upside, it's red and easy to pick out from the 3rd floor window of the building where I work.

LisaH 0 #11 April 20, 2007 I went to the grocery store, and when I walked out I couldn't find my car. I called the police and reported it stolen. While I was waiting for them to come take the report, I called a neighbor to come get me. My neighbor called me as he was leaving and told me I had taken my other car. I was looking around for the wrong one. Be yourself! MooOOooOoo

I have some sympathy for the guy tho, my room-mate moved my car. Freaked me out at first, but it was easy to figure out it was him. It back-fired on him since I just took his truck to work, leaving him to walk across an icy parking lot to retrieve my car .

I'm almost home when I get the frantic call that someone's taken her car, and it occurs to me I'd taken dad's car to the store.

No, she had keys. I told her what I'd done and she found the other car fairly quickly.
popsjumper 2 #16 April 20, 2007 Me and my GF walked up on a guy trying to break into my car with a slim-jim. I asked him if was having trouble and could he use some help. He said, "No. I just locked my keys in the car." I said, "Well, I have the key for this car right here...let me try it." He slowly pulled out the slim-jim, looked at me kinda weird-like and run-walked way. We got in the car and laughed our asses off after re-lighting the fat doobie we left in the ashtray. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. willard 0 #17 April 20, 2007 One year I drove all night to get to Oshkosh for the airshow. I was in such a hurry to get inside and start gawking at all the cool airplanes that I didn't pay the least bit of attention to where I parked. You have no idea how big that place is until you can't find your car, your dead tired, and it's getting dark.
FlyingJ 0 #18 April 20, 2007 A few months after my former roommate and I moved to Queens, NY he called me at work one morning to tell me that he couldn't find his car. He ended stopping a cop on the street. He told them he didn't remember where he parked the car (we often found a great place and left cars parks for weeks at a time, so it was hardly rare to forget where you parked). The cops were pissed, but still drove him around for 30 minutes up and down every street 5 blocks in every direction to no avail. They finally let him fill out a report and about 3 months later it was found completely stripped in the South Bronx.Killing threads since 2004.
JohnMitchell 16 #19 April 20, 2007 My wife and I came out of the movies in Tacoma one night, our little Toyota was gone. Thought it had been towed, so we called the towing company. They said they hadn't hooked it, so it finally dawned on us . . . our car's been stolen! We had a good laugh, 'cause it was our old beater car, not worth $500, called some family, and got a ride home. Cops found it, all safe, 2 days later about 40 blocks away. They said it looked like it had been trashed a bit. When I got to the lot, it was just fine. It was a little beat to begin with. Some little thief just needed a ride that night. Broke 0 #20 April 20, 2007 My Uncle parked his van at the Phenix Airport when he went on a trip. On his flight home he got a little too drunk, and couldn't find his Van. He took some other means of transportation home. Reported the Van as stolen. A month later the Airport called him. His van was still in the parking lot there.Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. Anvil Brother 84 SCR 14192

When it comes to pranks pulled with cars, those nerds at MIT rules the world! One student had a VW Beetle, the old kind. His roommates and friends decided to play a prank while the student was in class. They dismantled the Beetle, emptied the dorm room of all furniture, then carried the Beetle parts in there and re-assembled it. Believe it or not they did it fairly quickly! With one friend on the lookout, the alarm went up that the student was spotted walking back to his dorm building, so all the guys got the car set up, engine running, all lights and fixtures on, including radio, wipers, hazard lights, etc, and got out of the room and shut the door, and ducked into the next dorm room just in time before the guy turned the corner out of the elevator room. The reaction when he walked in was priceless! Eventually, the school had to hire a crane, knock out the exterior wall, and carry the car out and set it back down on the parking lot. Wonder how much they billed the students responsible for the prank, for the work done? Sorry Billy, but unless you were on the crew, and have before, during and after photos, I'm calling bullshit on that tale. The one piece, body shell of a VW Bug is too large to pass through any normal sized door. Also, the amount of tools and skilled workers required to accomplish a prank like this in the span of a class session, is just too unlikely...even at MIT. The part that stinks the worst however, is the school having to demolish a wall to remove it. Reeks of drunk student folklore. Makes for a good tale though. 359"Now I've settled down, in a quiet little town, and forgot about everything"

HeadCone 0 #24 April 20, 2007 What's happened to me a few times is this. I come back out from wherever and start walking toward my vehicle, but I can't find it right away because someone in a large SUV is blocking my view of it until get almost right to it. There's been more than one time where actually started thinking someone might have stolen it. --Head-- Turn off the internet!
