Isn't it illegal to break the sound barrier over land?

Recommended Posts

Would the two escorts have aquire the same permit?
Or merely recieve approved hyperspace clearance?:D

the two escorts do not break the sound barrier...they catch the shuttle after she breaks through...she's just a glider at that point...albeit with a glide ration of an un-powered F-4, a glider none the less.;)

yea, but see, what IF they decided to hijack the space shuttle and look for Magrathea?

BAAAHHH Sacrilige!

Ford Tractor Co. was purchased by New Holland, mainly for their backhoe design, and dealer network. then they promptly sold out to Fiat Group who also owns both the Case Construction Machinery, and
Case Agriculture groups.

I thought they caused too much destruction and were outlawed.

What aircraft broke the sound barrier in Dublin? The King Air? :P

It was probably an F-15 that broke the sound barrier in Dublin... (Robins AFB is pretty close by...)

For a few years they made them fly out over the ocean to do those maneuvers because of the complaints.

After 9-11 That went by the wayside, I guess it became a "good" sound to some.

I know I don't mind hearing our boys up there doing what keeps the rest of us safe. Small price to pay on our part.

F-4's breaking the sound barrier as they leave...ALL hours of the night...

F-4s...proof positive that ANYTHING will fly given enough thrust...and when the engine quits...the glide path of a brick.
Illinois needs a CCW Law. NOW.
