As an LA Kings fan, obviously life has been difficult for awhile. At least I didn't have much expectation of excellence coming into this year. Although I must admit from what I've seen, this Kopitar kid is legit! He barely turned 19 and is at more than a point per game. And Sean Avery is tied for the lead in penalty minutes. And I have been pleasantly surprised by Matthieu Garon in goal. Sigh. I need to make another trek to Staples Center... My wife is hotter than your wife. And I need to take a trek to Rexall Place too. Only problem is, only single seats available for ANY game this year. If I don't mind sitting with some drooling idiot I don't know, I may just do that. On Thursday against the islanders they have a chance to win their first 10, tying the league record. I'd say they have a pretty good chance to do that! One of the TSN commentators the other night was saying he thinks they are favourites to win the Cup...time will tell on that prediction! How about the Flyers getting rid of Hitchcock and Clark resigning? They need more than a new GM and Head Coach...it will be interesting to see what, if any, personnel changes they make in the next while. I'm not a Flyers fan...I actually hope they continue to suck indefinitely...but it will be interesting to see what they do to try and salvage this season.-- Murray "No tyranny is so irksome as petty tyranny: the officious demands of policemen, government clerks, and electromechanical gadgets." - Edward Abbey
 downwardspiral 0 #67 October 26, 2006 QuoteQuoteI don't know about that....ducks are looking pretty good this year. As a former Colorado Avalanche season ticket holder, the current team and the team I used to go watch do not resemble each other at all (except for the uniforms). It will be interesting to see how the Denver fans react now that their team isn't as good as it used to be. If they are like Broncos fans, then the Avs will be fine even in tough times. But if they only support a winning team, well then the Avs will be in trouble. Time will tell... Go Habs ... and yes I still kind of sort of still cheer for the Avs even though I feel very distanced from the team since the lockout year (my last year was the one before the lock out) and of course not living in CO also makes it hard to stay connected to the team. PS: I understand the front range is getting some snow today. The media is painting it as a massive blizzard, but when they show pictures I see snow on the sides of the roads, but the major roads appear clear of the white stuff. Is the storm not all that bad, or am I just not seeing the whole story? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
 Prev 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Next Page 3 of 11 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
