DJL 235 #80 April 11, 2007 Quote Quote And I do like good whiskey - I just don't advertise that I can like it. How about a nice Scotch? Try a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue! That's a contradiction in terms. If you're going to spend that much on a bottle then get real scotch not a blend. People buy Blue to impress, not because their pallete is so refined that only something so rich is worth drinking. Don't get me wrong, it's a damn tasty drink but I'd take 8 bottles of Black label over a bottle of Blue any day of the week. As for your whiskey, Knob Creek. Most of the small batch bottles on the shelf next to it are the same. In my opinion a handle of Jack Daniels and a bottle of Knob Creek is all you need in the whiskey department."I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

BIGUN 1,307 #82 April 11, 2007 Quote Try the 40 Creek...any year is an excellent one. I seem to have converted many a SkyFest particpant from Crown to Forty Creek. Smoother, cheaper and won more awards than Crown lately. Two ice cubes, two fingers and some fine sippin.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. I happen to like both...a lot I prefer the green label over the black label. It happens to be my "house Scotch", after that we can do a sampling of roughly 65 to 70 other single matls and blends. Bush Mills black label is another favourite of mine, though not a Scotch.

virgin-burner 1 #95 April 12, 2007 my dear fiancee, darling, my everyday whisky is "halkin's", a blended scotch whisky, i wouldnt dare drinking it straight, but mixed with some coca-cola, its terrific.. so, why would i waste about the triple amount of money on some odd jack daniels, if i can get it cheaper.. but, if i was with you hun, you'd get to taste some nice ones, since "sexy time" is about taste too!! “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” -Hunter S.
