I think this one might tie the storm of 1982, which was the 100 year storm before the storm of 2003 came, which was... But the winds are less - so the biggest drift I see looking out over downtown right now is a few feet. 1982 - and my parents house was connected to their neighbors house with a 21 foot drift between the two rooflines... My girlfriend gave up after 5 hours of sitting on US 36 and went to a friend's house...turns out they had the National Guard out there rescuing people. Looks like we're socked in for awhile. The problem is that he can only get so far because I-25 is closed, too. I have another friend coming up from Colorado Springs for a 7:25 a.m. flight tomorrow morning. I was supposed to drive her to the airport but right now I'm not sure that I'll even be able to get out of the subdivision by then to go meet her. It was very surreal to be walking down the middle of a major road at rush hour with no traffic. It's so quiet outside too, none of the usual city noise. It feels almost post-apocalyptic or something.
