NO NO NO NO NO.....the forcast for next Thursday and Friday says more snow!!!!

When the heck did I move to Alaska, it doesn't even snow this much in North Dakota. >:(:(

Look at the bright side; All the publicity about the snow should help slow down the influx of Californians. ;)

Well you do have a point there, but I would really love to see me street again, I think it's out there somewhere in the middle between my house and the guy who's house faces mine. ;):D

It won't be a problem at all. It quit snowing yesterday afternoon, no new snow, roads are great.:)

I think a few people trying to use US 40 today, might disagree.;)

Well, considering the fact that the ski resorts and US 40 are not in between DIA and Colorado Springs, I stand by my original post.:)

Streets . . . I think I used to have one of those outside MY house, too. Now it's just space for cross-country skiing.

So, 44 days after I first posted this thread, not a lot of change... We have had 7 consecutive weeks with snow now. The snow has been on the ground for 43 days which puts us 4th on the list of longest periods of snow on the ground in Denver. And it's still snowing. Any guesses for when this will all melt??

August?

:(:(:(

Last January was when I met my first skydiver friend. I remember him heading out to the dz on a Thurs or Friday and jumping all winter long.

Now that I can finally do that as well, Colorado seems to have closed down for the winter. Unless you're a skier or snowboarder.

NOT FAIR>:(

I'm trying to decide whether it's better to leave with the masses, when people will be forced to drive slowly, or to wait until it clears out a bit. Either way, it's not looking good.

Yeah, it'll be a long drive home regardless. I'm looking at leaving around 7, hopefully things will be getting better by then.

Without a doubt, they'll be snow on the ground beyond Feb 21st.

Just the piles from the snowplows are going to take months to melt.

It's solid ice, now. That's part of the problem. And considering the fact that the temperatures keep going lower instead of higher, yeah, I'd say Feb. 21 shouldn't be a problem.

ROFL! Yesterday's snow wasn't bad--only about 4" at my house. Now we're into March, though, which is our snowiest month of the year. You thought we were complaining BEFORE. . . . :P

(On the other hand, the more snow we get, the more cancellations there are at the tunnel and the more time that means they have on the books for ME!! Wooohooooo!)

For tunnel time, yes--absolutely!!! The only help I want is in the form of coaching. ;)

You'd be amazed at how effective snow is at clearing out the schedule.
