Darius11 12 #10 April 4, 2007 Yep I was there in 1998 and lived there from 1991-1998, and my Bro. just came to the US from there about 2 weeks ago. It is a very nice place, great people, and a lot of history. The current government is a religious one so as long as you respect their culture you will be fine. I personally want t o go back so I can jump of some of the awesome cliffs, and waterfalls I remember. If you have any questions feel free to ask i will do my best to answer them.I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not." - Kurt Cobain

Which in essence would give him free run of the place. Chris _________________________________________ Chris
gonzalesna 0 #17 April 4, 2007 don't go... Rosie O'Donnell will spread the word that the government sent you there on purpose to let you get captured to help ignite a war...Some people refrain from beating a dead horse. Personally, I find a myriad of entertainment value when beating it until it becomes a horse-smoothie.

Douva 0 #20 April 4, 2007 QuoteSeems like it'd just be an interesting place to visit. Seriously, do you think they were given any input on the suits they got? I mean, did they get to choose the thread, color, and number of buttons? That's pretty cool that political hostages now get parting gifts. The Iranians should have instituted that policy twenty-six years ago. If two weeks gets you a tailored suit, imagine what fifteen months would get you!I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. Gawain 0 #23 April 4, 2007 A friend of ours from Iran just became a US citizen, and she's getting her mother out of there as we speak. They just a green card for her. Her mother has a long memory of the good and bad of it all over the past 70~ years there. Her heart is broken to leave, but she could no longer stay. Things there aren't great. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light!
