masterblaster72 0 #1 October 9, 2006 Anyone catch this over the weekend? I thought it was phenomenal, IMO Scorsese's best film since Kundun. Brilliant performances all around, not a single dull moment from start to finish. Highly recommended if you haven't seen it yet. Unlike most Hollywood films these days, this one is certainly worth the price of admission! Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up.

slotperfect 7 #3 October 27, 2006 I saw it yesterday - an excellent modern day gangster film. Very bloody and violent for those of you who are careful about what you take your guests to see.Arrive Safely John

LouDiamond 1 #5 October 27, 2006 Good movie, star studded cast, decent story that moved along pretty good but the ending absolutely stunk. It's like someone entirely different wrote the ending. Almost as if Scorsese got tired and just said the hell with it, just have everyone kill each other so we can wrap this up in 5 minutes. The ending was disappointing to an otherwise excellent movie. Overall, its definately worth the price of admission which is rare these days."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
jheadley 0 #6 October 27, 2006 I saw it and thought it was very good. Leo is becoming a great actor the older he gets. I did think the ending was ridiculous. When I saw it, all I could think of was the crime drama spoof on South Park, where they basically had the exact same ending (everyone double-crossing and killing everyone else), but with the last guy standing also killing himself. Beerlight 0 #7 October 27, 2006 I have a general rule of thumb I follow on all star cast movies. More than 4 stars in a movie, and they usually SUCK! However, this movie rocked...! I still don't know what to think of the ending, but a movie definitely worth the price of admission...

With an ending this bloody, with such, lyrical turmoil, do you think it/he can finally, after so many years walk out, on the night with the coverted of holy grails the Oscar.MediCare : Allergic to Prison. Nope -- I don't think Scorsese will get an Oscar for this one either. Hollywood is *extremely* politically correct, and using the N* word in the beginning of the movie (for no real reason; was totally unneccessary, really) doesn't help his cause. This kind of bigoted dialogue IMO has cost him in the past, albeit that Scorsese is simply a realist. It's almost as if Scorsese doesn't give a damn about winning an Oscar as he keeps on defying PC convention. Whether he deserves to win an Oscar for this one? Personally I think so, but then again, this is not an original screenplay. Turns out this is adapted from a Hong Kong crime flick called Mou Gaan Dou (Internal Affairs), so that may cost him some points as well. He made a great movie, and I watched a great movie. We're both happy. It doesn't need to be any more complicated than that, IMO.www.WingsuitPhotos.com

sunshine 2 #14 March 11, 2007 I was not impressed. It was good at first. Matt Damon's accent was horrible and as the movie went on it got more annoying. The ending sucked big donkey balls. I suppose it kept my interest for the 2 hours, but it was not as good as it's been hyped up to be. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug! Similar to someone who has moved out of the deep south they lose some of their accent, so its not as noticeable in his other films plus he has probably had training with voice/dialect coaches so he can get more mainstream roles. What you heard was not a fake accent, it was Matt Damon being actual Matt Damon. Plus that movie was badass. I love violent gangster movies(my favorite genre) and this was a great one. I found it sad, very funny, violent, depressing, and always compelling.. The ending was not horrible, it was just not what you expected.2 BITS....4 BITS....6 BITS....A DOLLAR!....ALL FOR THE GATORS....STAND UP AND HOLLER!!!! LouDiamond 1 #16 March 11, 2007 Matt damon sounded like he had a speech impediment, kind of like decaprio's accent in Blood diamond. I lived in Mass and even if he was originally from there, his accent still sounded like crap in the movie. To top it all off, the whole story line is a re-write off of a foreign film. For a very heavily star studded cast, I can't say I was overly impressed with it and I definately won't be buying the DVD any time soon."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
