Your heart must be broken right now. (((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) My King is 16 and has chronic inflammatory bowel disease (diagnosed 4 years ago). x-rays showed a mass in his abdomen / and blood work indicated he's highly anemic - so large that it's moved all his major organs to the right side of his body. Testing to see if it's a tumor / or scar tissue from surgery 4 years ago. If it's cancerous (highly likely with his disease) I'm preparing myself that he's probably not going to be around much longer. tigra 0 #9 April 6, 2007 Thanks! I hope you get some good results that will give you a little more quality time with him! I wasn't ready to let Gizmo go, but I don't think you ever are. I do know his last few days were pretty darn good, and in his way, I think he was trying to say goodbye. We think it was a stroke and he went pretty quickly without any pain. After 17 years, that's about all you can really ask, right? But I miss him, and my other cats miss him too. He ruled the household for so long, and now they have to figure out the new hierarchy without him! Just talked to the vet and he is just as cranky as ever! His second panel of blood work looks better, and he is getting lots of fluids. She wasn't acting like herself last night or this morning and when I went to pet her, she yelped when I touched her rump. I took her in this morning, and she had an abcess on her anal gland. She's such a long haired kitty and doesn't like to be held, so I didn't know. They called a little while ago and said she is fine and that I should be able to get her tomorrow.
