Vibes for Guppie01

I just lost my 17 year old "King of a cat" last week! :( Vibes and good luck to them both!

I'm sooooo sorry.... damn it hurts just thinking of the possibility. Your heart must be broken right now.

(((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))

My King is 16 and has chronic inflammatory bowel disease (diagnosed 4 years ago). x-rays showed a mass in his abdomen / and blood work indicated he's highly anemic - so large that it's moved all his major organs to the right side of his body. Testing to see if it's a tumor / or scar tissue from surgery 4 years ago.

If it's cancerous (highly likely with his disease) I'm preparing myself that he's probably not going to be around much longer.

HATE THIS!!!!

Thanks!

I hope you get some good results that will give you a little more quality time with him! I wasn't ready to let Gizmo go, but I don't think you ever are. I do know his last few days were pretty darn good, and in his way, I think he was trying to say goodbye. We think it was a stroke and he went pretty quickly without any pain. After 17 years, that's about all you can really ask, right? But I miss him, and my other cats miss him too. He ruled the household for so long, and now they have to figure out the new hierarchy without him!

Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers for you!

There is nothing harder than letting go when the time comes. I have been in your shoes many times. The one thing that comforts me is the understanding that they never really leave - rather, they move from the physical into your heart, and nestle there purring away forever.

Gia, you're in my prayers, and Neko is, too. 17 years is a good, long life, and one spent loved and coddled by you. How blessed he is, you know? How blessed he is.

If there's anything I can do, please don't hesitate to ask...and know that if the time comes to make decisions that are harder than hard, you're not alone.

Tigra, I didn't know Gizmo had passed. I'm terribly sorry to hear of that, and wish you all my love and prayers. And yes, indeed he was telling you goodbye; and know he's now in your heart, and sending you all the love and purrs he ever did...

My love and prayers to you both.

Ciels-
Michele

It tried to kill me, remember?

Neko did not try to kill you.... he was only showing you who the alpha male in the house is!!!!

Just talked to the vet and he is just as cranky as ever! :)
His second panel of blood work looks better, and he is getting lots of fluids. We are waiting for the Dr. to call in to confirm when he'll be there for the ultrasound - hopefully soon, I want to bring my baby home where he can be comfortable.

Oh Gia i'm so sad for you. My Peanut was super sick a few months ago and i thought i was gonna lose her. Thankfully her surgery saved her. I hope things go good for your baby. Keep us updated.

Yep, her king of a cat isn't doing too well. He had to spend the night at the vets, and she is waiting for some test results. :( Hopefully today she will get some hopeful news.

Aw, hugs, Gia! I had to bring my kitty in for emergency surgery today too! She wasn't acting like herself last night or this morning and when I went to pet her, she yelped when I touched her rump. I took her in this morning, and she had an abcess on her anal gland. :( She's such a long haired kitty and doesn't like to be held, so I didn't know.

They called a little while ago and said she is fine and that I should be able to get her tomorrow. I hope you have such good luck too!
