I'd prefer checking, but that rink doesn't have a checking league. I'm already driving 100 miles each way to play the game and that's the nearest rink. I'm not going any farther. Checking would take care of a lot of the BS, but they don't want people getting put out of work and risking law suits. It IS california, after all.

Awww poor wittle babies.....I LIKE checking...ALOT.... To recieve is fun but to give is divine.

Ottawa is going to kill you. And well I hope so cause they aren't in the southeast division. Although they are in the Eastern which makes me want them to loose as well. But you can't have two losers, so I pick Carolina to loose, lets see 4-2 shall be the score.

Sorry thems the brakes. And you are going down this sunday, oh yes you are.

Oh my god. I was right, 4-2. I rule, la la la I rule. I think however you will fare better when they come to your house. I see overtime in your future.

Welcome to my world. Shutout. For Phoenix. :( On the night we retired Moose's #11 AND wore the Oilers Vintage Jersey. :( Bright blue and orange (a la my dog's pic from a while back). :(

And Smyth is in New York now. :(

I wonder if he realizes that he has no teeth, AND a mullet AND he's walking around in New York. They're gonna think he's homeless.[:/]:D:D

:D:D Classic! Maybe HE needs this support group.

I'm in favour of a Ryan Smyth Support Group.

On a serious note, I'll miss him here. So will a lot of people. They scraped his teeth off the ice in the playoffs last year. He'll be missed. :(

On a MORE serious note, he still looks like a homeless guy. :D:D

Mullets are SO last year ...

I hate it when good players who have sacrificed everything for their team get passed along. I find it interesting that our local news still picks up on stories about a lot of our former Avs. Wish you were here, and all that. (And we DO wish they were here, for obvious reasons.)

Mullets are SO last year ...

Not a fun game to watch against the Coyotes, but the hour-long jersey retirement was very cool (and emotional).

Mess was always my favourite, and by chance I ended up in one of the coolest seats. Check the row and seat number on the ticket.

:)

That's too perfect! Sorry the game didn't go better, but I'm really glad you got to see the ceremony. A full hour--that's impressive!

That's cool! Glad you enjoyed his sendoff. Loved the Vintage Jerseys.

Thanks. I don't know if they showed it on the tv, but during the warmup all the Oilers had on the vintage jerseys - all with number 11 and all with the 'C'. I had to laugh. It will be the only time Stortini gets to wear the 'C'! ;)

Just wanted to rub it in.

I have 2 seats confirmed for the playoffs, every single round baby.

Already paid for the first two rounds. Of course everything is refundable. Oh and I totally got hooked up on the last home game tickets. I guess the guy felt my pain for shelling out some money on the playoff tickets.

Not bad deal though. For 2 tickets through the Stanley cup Finals would run me like 1300 or so. That's an average of $40 a ticket. Super sweet I think.

My condolences. [:/]

The Avs are still being toyed with--or, maybe I should say they're still toying with us. It's like waiting for the inevitable to happen but they keep winning and somehow keep avoiding elimination. Game of cat and mouse.

Search, whatever do you speak of? :P

Well that sucks that the defending champions aren't even going to the playoffs this year. I thought they were a formidible foe. They definitely won't roll over this Friday.

Poor avs. Put up the good fight though.
