Congrats Highfly! And to Mama, too!

I gotta say, though...you're in for it now!

:D:D

Oh, btw...push for breast feeding...saves you having to do the 2am stuff. *G*
My reality and yours are quite different.

Thanks.

Ill pass on your blessings to my wife and son. [:-)]

Its quite amazing what a womans body can do with a little bit of help from a man.

How on earth does a body duplicate cells and end up with something so amazing in your arms before you?

Im am truly in awe of what my wife has done today.

Who could of thought am could be so different to pm?

Matt

Congrats, and do as much as you can for your wife in the next couple of weeks. A c section can really wear you out. I was very lucky that Streaker was such a terrific help when our kids were born, and I feel totally blessed to have had such a great partner through those middle of the night feedings and diaper changes.
She will love you forever for the help you give her now.
Oh, and try to get some sleep, too, both of ya!

Yes, it is quite amazing! The awe of a new father is so sweet to see.

But don't forget, the help of a father, new or old, is what's gonna keep you out of the dog house!!;):D:D:D

Seriously, you both will need a break after a while even though it's so exciting now, so if you are fortunate enough to have family or friends around to help you, let them. A newborn is wonderful but sooo exhausting.

My brother's son is going to be a year old next week, and I remember it was so cute when I went to see them in the hospital with a newborn - he was so happy and into it, like you. And when my new nephew started to squawk and my brother said "Oh, I have a trick...hold him like this, he loves it!". I had to laugh, I said "He's not even 24hrs. old and you have tricks?!!".

It's a precious time for you and your wife now, savor it.
