sharimcm 0 #5 March 16, 2007 American lost my luggage... Actually, they didn't "lose it" they just forgot to put it on the plane, so while I was sitting in Austin, it was still in Atlanta. They SAID they would have a courier service bring it to me within 2-3 hours, and about 10 hours later, I still didn't have it. I finally had my ex pick it up since he was flying in to the airport and he was going to be there... Bastards. Good luck Turtle!! gemini 0 #6 March 16, 2007 Last year my smaller bag was plucked off the carosel in Atlanta with my helmet and jumpsuit. AirTrans kept saying they would find it, but it never showed up. Good luck! Blue skies, Jim
peggs82 0 #7 March 16, 2007 Being a professional traveler, I am often dismayed by the baggage system on ALL airlines. Speaking from experience, airlines have lost my luggage and told me it would be on the next flight in and they would ship it to me. Knowing I had coworkers coming in on at the same time, I would have them pick up my bags from the carosel. Once it was 3 weeks before the airline even called me wondering where my bag was? Good luck, and at least they know where it is! Sometimes they are great about it, sometimes not. Reason number 1 I will NEVER check my rig...NEVER!
