SkyProdigy 0 #1 March 14, 2007 hey this is more directed to the computer nerds out there what would be better for 3d performance 1280 X 960 @ 85 hertz, or 1400X1050 @60 Hertz?
Armour666 0 #2 March 14, 2007 get a LCD then you dont have to worry about the refresh rate, I alway take higher refresh rate as possiable and stay away from 60hrz since thats the frequency cycle for north america power and if you have florecent lighting and some transformer type of ligghting you'll get a flicker that you might not realy notice but over time gives a lot of eye strain.SO this one time at band camp..... Somatic 0 #3 March 14, 2007 I'd also go for the 1280x960, given only those two options you gave. I would also like to echo the sentiments of previous reply, if you get an LCD you won't have to worry about refresh rates, but you WILL have to worry about response time. If you do go that route, the lower the millisecond response the better.

Sutton 0 #5 March 14, 2007 If you're looking at LCDs for gaming, I'd recommend nothing higher than 4ms response time. 2ms is ideal for gaming though-Sutton
