waltappel 1 #1 March 9, 2007 Strangely enough, I not only can write about vile and disgusting things, I'm pretty good at software documentation too! Anyone have any leads or suggestions? Walt
doug925 0 #2 March 9, 2007 Nothing constructive mind you (or even slightly helpful) But 6th St. is having a shortage on homeless bums! Response to your snappy retort: Yeah Yeah, I know, but it won't reach, and I don't think I would even if it could! LOLI have never developed indigestion from eating my words. LOL I don't think I'd be all that great at being a homeless bum--my heart just wouldn't be in it. On the other hand, I think I'd be really good being the guy standing in front of the exit doors at WalMart with a marker to check receipts. I'd probably have some days where I would be a power-hungry jerk and wouldn't let anybody out of the store. Walt
Taikoen 0 #4 March 9, 2007 I got an e-mail about two months ago that Dell was looking for a bunch of Software Developers. And where there's a software developer, there's the opportunity to do all the non-programming tasks that developers hate doing. I deleted the e-mail or I'd give you more information. Hey, Austin is a cool place--I'm just tired of driving there from Houston all the time. Speaking of Houston, it seems that a lot of people don't realize that it's a great place to live too.Walt

A great place to eat and skydive, but a lousy place to live. Austin is getting less wierd and more crowded all the time. Sad, really.-- Jason -- Some people never go crazy. Houston probably isn't for everyone, but it's got some great points: * Relatively low cost of living * Memorial park! * 2 Otter DZs -- Skydive Houston and Skydive Spaceland * Lots of interesting people * Only gets cold for about 4 weeks out of the year * You *never* have to use the parking brake on your car * A gorgeous skyline * It's the 4th largest city in the US and from the air, you see a *bunch* of trees! * Lots of critters (if you know where to look) * The list is pretty much endless. bluheelrtx 0 #10 March 10, 2007 Quote * Lots of critters (if you know where to look) * The list is pretty much endless. Walt I can agree with the critters part. Maybe that's because I live at the very (current) edge of the sprawl. I have a few acres not far from Skydive Houston and enjoy the reptile, rodent, insect, and avian variety of the area. But the sprawl is quickly taking over. The rest of houston sucks.-- Jason -- Some people never go crazy. What truly boring lives they must lead.
