DAMN...bad PR for the Farm!!![:/]

This sucks, this could be a maker or braker for them. I've jumped there and never thought of any concern for anyone. Hauns (sp) is a great guy and I hate this for him.

Let's hope this rolls over fast!

They even brought in the NAACP in on this!:|
If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!

It's a 2005 incident as stated on the video. When did Channel 2 news play the video?

Also...call me a cynic, but it's your first post on DZ.com and this is what you post?

Problems were

1) Date video was played on Ch. 2 was not stated on video, hence question.

2) First post being an issue with a DZ/person/etc. are viewed with skepticism.

Ive heard the stories, first I have seen the videos, not hard to recognize some of those in it.

Hans is a great DZO and I hope this video being replayed and the story coming back up doesnt hurt his business.

**First let me say what a terrrible thing that this has happened**
....Next, Justice has not been done? Don't do that to a dog? No arrest?

How about taking RESPONSIBILITY for ones actions? How about looking at YOUR sons actions that led to this tragedy? NCAAP? They would not be involved if this happened at an all African American camp.....Don't get me wrong, this sucks...It sucks it happened at a DZ....amoung jumpers....and don't think that people are not still upset about it...BUT, C'mon. The last anyone saw of him was on shore. Did he get up and wonder into the water by himself? Are we going to blame the people around because the one we loved couldn't control his OWN actions? Do all people over the age of 18 NEED babysitters?

Of course they are going to try and find someone to blame....and that person is Hans. I know hans as i have spoke to him on the phone numerous times. He is a great person and is deffinately willing to help anyone out. The family of the victim obviously wont get it through their heads that it in fact was HIS choice to consume that much alcohol. Bad things happen all the time at parties...lord knows ive been to a few and have witnessed some really stupid shit. I, personally, have no sympathy for the victim becasue he put himself in that position by not using good judgement. My sympathy does, in fact, lye with Hans and his family becasue the accident occured on his property...even though he cant supervise every single person there considering it is a rather well known and big dz.

Well said. The NAACP would not be involved if they were convinced this was just a tragic accident. At the same time, where is the evidence that this was anything else?

Note the totalitarian attitude on display here, the belief that an arrest must be made despite the lack of evidence supporting such action. This is frightening.

Don't mean to caress the boundaries of Speaker's Corner here, but there seems to be an attitude among certain political activist groups that either 1) White people won't associate with black people, or 2) When this theory is obviously not applicable, it must mean that when black people ARE welcomed with open arms into the community, and something unfortunate happens to them, it MUST have something to do with someone's unkind racial attitudes.

The NAACP cannot afford to acknowledge reality because the day they do they'll begin to see a dramatic drop in fund-raising income.
