sartre 0 #1 February 12, 2007 That's right. I said it. Valentine's Day is a made-up day designed to make us all feel lonely or guilty. We're supposed to feel romantic on demand. We're supposed to think up an original present for an imaginary holiday. And if we're single, we just get to be reminded that the whole rest of the world is in love (which isn't really true by the way) and we are are excluded. So, I petition that we boycott Valentine's Day. Anyone with me? I'll be the first to put my name down. ------------------------------------------------------- We, the undersigned, hereby declare Valentine's Day to be a GIANT WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY AND COMPLETELY MADE UP. We refuse to bow to the pressure and choose instead to appreciate those in our lives ALL of the time, not just once a year. 1. Sartre
