DrewEckhardt 0 #4 February 13, 2007 About $14.68 a year assuming you have it on 8 hours a day, use 60W bulbs, and pay $.0838 per kilo Watt-hour which is the average price for residential electricity in Illinois. Less if you've converted to compact flourescent bulbs.

matt1215 0 #7 February 13, 2007 Assuming you’re using 60 watt bulbs, 60 watts x 24 hours x 30 days = 43200 watt-hours (or 43.2 kilowatt-hours). Assuming your power company charges 10¢/kwh, it costs $4.32 to continuously run that 60 watt bulb for a month.
