Doyle wipes clapton off the stage completely with his guitar & vocals. Doyle is an Austin native and I have seen him many times in small clubs. The guy is out of this universe! No one is making music like him! Last time I saw him was at Antones and he was greeting people at the door, I tried my best to be as cool as possible and he still got to me! I have not seen him with Clapton live, but I can tell you that in the Live in the Fleash DVD and Claptons Crossroasds DVD he is holding back and not over powering the "star" of the show! I think after he gets tired of making money with Clapton, he will explode with new music! I sure hope he does not get too big! Since Doyle has been working with Clapton, I have heard Clapton rip off many Doyle licks..........it's ok, Doyle has millions more! I think greenlight girl is his (on crossroads) ...clapton wanted his music to record with BB King and couldn't play like doyle- so hired him to record with them.... can't wait for doyle to put out his own tunes!!!
