More posts on DZ.com than jumps!

Recommended Posts

My post number here just passed my jump numbers.

And it's mostly pointless bad joke bonfire posts like this one.

This is not a good thing, right?

Does it call for immediate action?

:D

Point?

Maybe it would be a good thing to get my *ss outta that little cessna at Hamar?

Haven't jumped for months.

I miss it and my post number remind me about how much I miss it.

It's the money thing, and partly the weather.

:(

I hope it gets better soon...

But it does cheer me up to see people with post/jump ratios such as some in this thread.

:P

Good point. Reminds me that I need to pull my rig out of the closet and head up to Titusville.

Money is the one thing that keeps me on the ground more than I'd like [:/]. Still, I think 59 jumps in 13 months in the sport is pretty decent. Usually I make 2 or 3 loads when I go out. :)

This time of year its far easier to post than it is to head to the DZ and sit there all day looking at the low clouds.. that the FAA would frown highly at getting out under or falling thru... SO.. I volunteer to work and make more money so I can jump my ass off later..

Wait a minute...Norway?

Why the hell do you need airplanes?

Slartibartfast would be appalled!

Yeah Norway, where you can actually buy postcards with pics of BASE jumpers in ordinary tourist souvenir shops.

B|

Well, sure we need airplanes!

I'm a BASE whuffo: "why d'you jump off perfectly good mountains?"

(Well some of the mountain jumpers say that to me, they gotta test the mountains and see if they work, it would be a total waste to leave a perfectly good mountain alone. Well if they work, then what's the need to jump off them? is what I'm saying).

Yeah, and we'll have money in the spring, when the jumping actually gets pleasant and I won't need a face mask to protect me from icy wind at terminal velocity.

It will rock.

The only people that make out its a big deal are skygod wannabes with egos the size of houses! >:(

For some reason I can't stand those...

"Oh, I'm so much better than you, and get away from my velocity packing area with your big semi elliptical!"

>:(

LMAO!

I have yet to meet any of those.

But then I have only been to 4 DZ's.

It's true! I swear. Had just put down my canopy to pack, and got chased off by guy with big ego and a pocket sized velocity. They exist. Next time, I'll just talk back!

Yeah they do, the trouble is, alot of the genuinely skilled and experienced skydivers who have proved themselves at high levels of competition are normally good people! No ego at all and give you all the time in the world. Its the people with delusions of granduor who make out they are great that are the arseholes!
