jm951 0 #2 February 7, 2007 Ditto, I'm having the same issues with port forwarding and a normal router. My ISP uses dynamic IP as well. I'd like to get this solved so I can get back to downloading Top Gear

pds 0 #4 February 7, 2007 i am happy to help ya. might be able to handle it here, but can remote assist if needed. first, try going to http://192.168.0.1 . this might put you on your router's config page. just open udp same port that utorrent is on. what is the brand and model of the router and was it supplied by your broadband provider"?namaste, motherfucker. georgerussia 0 #5 February 7, 2007 I saw few of them which had admin interface on http://192.168.1.1 and http://192.168.0.254 Usually the default settings are "admin" for username and empty password, or vice versa (linksys & d-link for example).* Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

wildblue 7 #8 February 7, 2007 Quote never mind, ave figured out it does not work on wireless but does with the ethernet. Will do for me If it works wired but not wireless, make sure the stupid 'windows firewall' isn't blocking it on the wireless machine.it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
SkyDekker 1,465 #9 February 7, 2007 okay, it seems that my ISP somehow knows when torrents are being downloaded and completely throttles back. is there any way around this?
RBM 1 #10 February 7, 2007 i use Utorrent and a wireless router, just set a port opening for a desired IP, (thats if you have dedicated IP's for computors on your network) and like the one poster said, make double sure your firewall is not blocking the utorrent port... always recheck your firewall ports if you have problems, that seems to be very common good luck
