guppie01 0 #1 February 6, 2007 If you were considering artificial insemination as an option for conception would you prefer to ask someone you know, or keep it anonymous??? I'd also like to hear comments from men.... if it were your SO and you both want children but you (for whatever reason) aren't able to produce sperm. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" McBeth 0 #4 February 6, 2007 I would definitely go to a sperm bank. I have friends and family that have gone that route. The possibility of custody battles would deter me from using a friend.
livendive 8 #5 February 6, 2007 It would depend on the specifics. I can imagine a few scenarios in which I'd be willing to donate for a friend. If I were the one shooting blanks and another child was desired, I'd probably want to go the adoption route. If it were really important to the mother for the baby to at least have her DNA, I'd want to know the attributes of the donor but not his specific identity. LOL, then you'd know it was a friend, but wouldn't know for certain who the father is (minus the DNA test)??? guppie01 0 #17 February 6, 2007 QuoteHey, so is it weird to get a brother or your dad to give it a go? I just had "Friends" flashback when Phoebe agreed to be a surrogate mother for her brother and ended up having triplets. At first the thought made me cringe... but it basically would be of the same DNA as the father.... so I guess it'd be okay. g"Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?" freeflir29 0 #21 February 6, 2007 I get punched a lot by women when no matter what they say I retort "You know.........semen is good for that." It really is a miracle cure. Especially for ensuring wrinkle prevention and a healthy looking complexion. It's also known to relieve headaches, prevent hyper tension, hide skin blemishes, get you better gas mileage, increase your income, cause dramatic weight loss, AND add years to your life. I SWEAR!
