Evelyn 0 #52 July 12, 2005 QuoteQuoteHe jumped, bounced a few times... There must be better terminology available. LOL. Yeah, I get what you're saying. Okay, so he felt the swinging up and down force of the bungee several times before deploying his chute. Better? Edited to add: gotta love someone who bounces a few times and still goes on with a skydive... jtval 0 #54 July 12, 2005 QuoteQuote now I got some decent video to merge into the end of year DVD. i've met your 'significant other', you should have LOTS of 'decent' video for the year end DVD.. runs and hides yes but that won't make it into the skydiving dvdMy photos My Videos

jtval 0 #56 July 28, 2005 did my last 4 bungy jumps yesterday! it was pretty fun but still limited. Its kinda fun to flip around at the end of the bungy when you are on your rebound (still waiting for the last piocture to show up in my email, but heres the 3rd jump)My photos My Videos
sharimcm 0 #57 July 28, 2005 I did my buy three get one free bungee in Vegas. All I told them was, "tie me up, get me wet, and I'll do exactly what I'm told." I had all the guys going there! Don't know what happened to my pics though. I seriously think me ex deleted them all and threw all my back-up cd's away... Elisha 1 #58 July 28, 2005 Anyone here every bungy from the gondola near Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland? I did that for my one and only in '98. MUCH scarier than skydiving IMO. I did the 100M option (it was MUCH cheaper), but you could do 180M as well (over twice as much $$).

tdog 0 #60 August 1, 2005 As I was looking at Mount Rushmore with a friend on vacation yesterday, I thought... And I could be in Vegas getting in a few last bungy jumps before they close forever... But instead, here I am, looking at dead presidents... I am so sad to see bungy effectively die in the US. Anyone know of a regular operation out there to jump at??? Heck, any "appointment only" places???
skydiverek 63 #61 August 1, 2005 AJ Hackett Bungy in Las Vegas is the ONLY place in the US open 365 days. I don't think they take appointments though.

EricTheRed 0 #63 August 1, 2005 http://www.bungee.com/bzapp/jump_school.html Absolutely beautiful place to bungee. The bridge is VERY scary though... Edit to add... http://www.bungee.com/bzapp/bungee_masters/bridge.htmlillegible usually
tdog 0 #64 August 1, 2005 QuoteThe bridge is VERY scary though... Isn't that the point??? I have bungy jumped from two towers, about 30 times from the vegas one (work had me visiting there often a few years back and it was better than spending money on the slots...) I am wondering what you mean by scary???
tdog 0 #65 January 26, 2007 Quotewell you may not need it. they are closing on 31 july. Well, vegas might be closed... Like almost two years ago.... I kind of missed a yearly jump, or 10... so... I found a 460 foot bridge and a group doing an expedition there next month. I never have jumped from a bridge, so it should be fun. Plus 460 feet over the Colorado? How cool. (The site is not BASE friendly, a friend wanted to BASE and it could have been an interesting two way)
JohnMitchell 16 #66 January 26, 2007 Wow, looking through the pics I see everyone using safety harnesses and stuff. They didn't use any of that in Canada, just a towel around the ankles and two lines wrapped around the outside of the towel. Looked pretty sketchy but I've survived 4 jumps there, so I guess it works.A harness might have made that first leap easier. I remember thinking to not point my toes so the ropes wouldn't slip off.
