How much weight do you lose the next morning due to a hangover?

Recommended Posts

Scoop says it's a FACT that "It takes roughly 38 glasses of water to rehyrdrate yourself the next day".

38 glasses (at a standardized size of 6 ounces) is 1.75 gallons of water to a hangover. Apparently we lose 14 pounds of water to a decent hangover.

Let's find out if that's true.

Your showing yourself as dumb here. It was calculated it can take that many glasses to drink to rehydrate yourself fully after consuming approximately 20 odd units of alcohol.

That doesnt mean youve lost that much body weight. It means thats what your body needs over time to correct itself. Be that through drinking water or content within food.

If you drank that much at once itd probably kill you.

Given that the replies to your "Real Facts about Drugs" thread is unanimously calling bullshit and your only reply is essentially "The guy who told me used to be a drug dealer and now he works for the police so he's unbiased and reliable", I don't think you're in the best position to be calling me "dumb".

Where does the 1.75 gallons of additional water go if it's not peed out? Are you saying we have to GAIN 14 pounds after each hangover to recover?

I think it refers more to process of rehydrating yourself. During that process you will piss stuff out too so you wont be retaining 30 odd glasses of water will you. Think about it.

EDIT: Did you actually read my replies to that thread? I gave you alot more info than what you stated. Your trying to make me out for some fool and making yourself look foolish or at least misrepresnting information. At no point did I say you lose 14lbs of bodyweight :S

Starting a whole new thread to state a point is pretty silly and childish [:/]

It takes a poll to learn if people have had this 14 pound weightloss experience. If I know how to append a poll to the earlier thread I would have.

Perhaps you can tell me how to do that.

It would probably kill you indeed. Water intoxication for the lose.

A woman died recently because she drank too much water during a radio contest to win a Nintendo Wii.
